About Focal Point

Focal Point Consulting Services was founded on a personal mission. Chris Perry began studying Bitcoin nearly a decade ago, looking for a better way to build long-term financial independence in a system that felt increasingly stacked against individuals and families. That research became a conviction, that conviction became a strategy, and that strategy delivered real results.
Chris has spent the better part of a decade at the intersection of financial services, technology, and management consulting — starting at a product-stage startup, through multi-year engagements supporting complex federal agency systems, and most recently three and a half years at Fidelity Investments as a Senior Product Manager within Stock Plan Services. There, he owned the product roadmap for a platform serving 120 enterprise clients and over 100,000 users globally, and led his domain’s contribution to a full platform modernization from legacy to cloud infrastructure. It is institutional-grade work: the kind where precision is not optional and the margin for error is zero.
Running alongside that career has been nine years of independent, serious research into Bitcoin — not as a speculative position, but as a monetary asset with structural importance in an era of deteriorating fiscal fundamentals. That conviction predates the ETF launches, the BlackRock filing, and the institutional pile-in that followed.
Focal Point exists because that combination — institutional discipline, product thinking, and deep Bitcoin conviction — is genuinely rare, and because independent advice in this space is nearly impossible to find. No products to sell, no commissions to earn, no firm dictating what can and cannot be recommended. The advice is aligned with one thing: client outcomes.
The firm’s name comes from a personal place. Chris’s father, Dr. Joseph W. Perry, was a professor of chemistry and research scientist at the University of Arizona who founded a company called Focal Point Microsystems before joining the faculty at Georgia Tech — where Chris later studied. He was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s in 2017 and passed away in late 2022. The name carries his legacy forward.
Chris holds a degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and is based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
What Sets Us Apart
Fiduciary Mindset. We operate under a fiduciary mindset, providing advice that is fully aligned with our clients’ best interests. We do not custody assets, sell products, or earn commissions. Our only incentive is our clients’ outcomes.
Depth. We focus exclusively on Bitcoin, not the broader crypto market. This singular focus allows us to go deeper than generalist advisors.
Institutional Perspective. Our background in institutional finance means we approach Bitcoin with the same rigor applied to any serious asset class.
Boutique by Design. We work with a select number of clients so every engagement gets the attention it deserves. This is not a scalable product. It is a relationship.
